Notes:
Today I’m participating in my first Everybody Everywhere challenge. The prompt for this month was red and pink in recognition of Valentine’s Day. I was hoping to wear my hot pink cardigan with this outfit. When I tried on the ensemble, the pink appeared too similar to the red in my skirt. Colorblocking wasn’t working for me, so I opted for small hints of pink with my belt and my costume jewelry. I purposely made a trip to the mall in my hour of spare time this morning to buy fun heart-shaped jewelry. I lurve this eyeglass heart necklace I found at the teenybopper boutique Claire’s. Librarians are like school teachers in the sense that we wear cutesy stuff for holidays. I had a chocolate party for 45 people and it was off the hook: chocolate bingo, chocolate crafts and a chocolate fountain with tons of sweets for dipping. I ate my weight in melted Nestle milk chocolate chips. Good thing I took my OOTD pics before the party; I was covered in melted chocolate by the end of 4.5 hours of party prep, hostessing and cleanup. I then stayed after work to prepare a little homemade heart-shaped surprise for my husband. I was a Valentine Superstar…and it wasn’t even February 14th.
